To The Tardis We are Going To 1986b

I have been meaning to write about snap shots in my life for a long time. Thinking about time and years as they passed makes me feel like I missed many moments of importance and would give anything to get those moments back. Hence my tardis.

I don't promise to write about these in order or even to write about them at all. The Doctor doesn't travel in only one direction in time and neither will I.

Here are the important years: 1977, 1978, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1991, 1993, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2006, 2007

1986

I was not ready to leave Bloomington when I graduated. I arranged to house-sit a friend's apartment while he went home to Vermont. It was a rent free deal which worked out well since I had no job, no responsibilities and, of course, no money.

Before school ended I met a waitress (imagine your server buying you a beer) at the Bluebird and I started seeing my big boobed former girl friend again from the fall. For the first several weeks I enjoyed juggling my girl friends. These women were almost exact opposites:

Big boobs vs really small boobs

Blond vs brunnette

From IN vs from Chicago

Artist vs Marketing Major

Naturally, I was not able to manage both relationships and by then end of the summer I had pissed them both off despite the fact that I did satisfactorally complete my first (and second hand) breast survey.

That summer was a blast. My friends and I went to the Bluebird often to watch our favorite Led Zeppelin cover band. Who knew that the band would play our wedding recepetion 2 years later? When I got back to Chicago, I started hanging out with my high school trumpet player friend who ended up dating Dcup before we got married.

The send off for that summer was my older brother's wedding. Back to Chicago for that one. You can still watch his wedding as it was captured in the opening scenes of the Wedding Singer without the angry drunk brother. Wait... I was drunk and little angry. I should have been at the Octagon or Neo instead.

I did NOT date S. I didn't date anyone before I met you. That was just passing time....

You player, you.

Oh, that right - not.
